Second commission down!  This one’s for Vanessa/Kuro.  This is her character, Koe: a petite yet deadly creature. She was lots of fun to draw!  I particularly enjoyed interpreting her hairstyle.  Again, I had a go with pencil.  While it’s a bit more time consuming (I’m much more careful with my strokes), I really do like the feathery effect that you get from graphite.

Tools: pencil (!!), my scanner, Wacom Intuos2 tablet (Nacho) & Paint Tool SAI.

Animation Process:

Haven’t really been around for the past few days.  Extremely busy with family matters, as well as attending various appointments and running errands.  I’ve also been dying from the heat.  I was out all day on Monday, and it was 44 C (111 F).  I saw my life flash before my eyes and could’ve sworn my skin was dripping off.  I think I had about eleven thousand litres of water.

The heat caused a string of power outages in my area.  I lost two hours’ work on a commission today cos the electricity suddenly died. :(  I’m saving so often now, it’s like I have a nervous tick.
